SQA Intern – Software Quality Assurance

We are looking for a motivated Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Intern to join our software development team. This role is ideal for individuals with a foundational understanding of software testing concepts who are eager to learn modern quality assurance practices. As an intern, you will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to test web and mobile applications, identify and document defects, and help ensure our products meet quality standards before release.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Develop and execute test cases based on requirements and user stories.
- Identify, document, and report bugs with clear reproduction steps.
- Conduct functional, regression, usability, and basic compatibility testing.
- Verify bug fixes and perform retesting as necessary.
- Collaborate with developers and senior QA team members to resolve issues.
- Maintain comprehensive testing documentation, including test scenarios and results.
- Participate in requirement discussions and QA review meetings.
- Learn and utilize bug-tracking and project management tools.
- Assist with basic API and automation testing when required.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field; current students or recent graduates are welcome.
- Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Familiarity with software testing concepts and QA methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Eagerness to learn new testing tools and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Knowledge or basic exposure to the following is advantageous:
- Bug-tracking tools such as Jira, Trello, or ClickUp.
- API testing using Postman.
- SQL and database testing.
- Automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Version control systems such as Git/GitHub.
- Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

This internship offers hands-on experience working on real software projects, mentorship from experienced developers and QA professionals, and exposure to professional software testing processes and tools.
