Junior Internal Auditor

An established medium-sized footwear retailer is looking for a ‘Junior Internal Auditor’ based out of their Karachi office. The incumbent of this position is expected to help execute internal audits covering the domains of inventory, cash, salary, procurement and bank reconciliations across all our retail stores and the head office. The incumbent is required to follow guidelines provided by the Internal Audit Manager and is expected to guide interns during audits to maximize accuracy as well as transparency. The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications/characteristics:

Minimum 1 year work experience with an audit firm or in the internal audit function of a notable organization, preferably within the retail sector
Evident knowledge of the latest best practices that are prevalent in the industry
Must be able to demonstrate high integrity with an enterprise-first mindset
Visible passion for critically analyzing potential loopholes, maximizing transparency and curbing potential fraudulent activities
The candidate is expected to work as part of a team consisting of two auditors (including the incumbent) and two interns with all reporting to the Internal Audit Manager
Strong appreciation of the need to extract maximum cooperation from stakeholders, many of whom possess limited levels of literacy is essential
Take ownership of developing reports for the perusal of the Internal Audit Manager as well as senior management
Good references are preferred for this position
