Mechanical Design Engineer

SOLARIS Engineering Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with 3 years of experience to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will lead a team and play a vital role in designing, developing, and making Product designs of Smart and Space Saving Furnitures. This role focuses on applying mechanical engineering principles, advanced modeling techniques, and thorough knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to create efficient and cost-effective product designs that meet quality and performance standards. As a Mechanical Design Engineer at SOLARIS, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, prototype, and finalize designs using state-of-the-art CAD and analysis tools. Your expertise will drive innovations in product lifecycle management and ensure designs comply with industry standards and manufacturing requirements. Your leadership in guiding your team and collaborating across departments will be key to delivering successful engineering solutions that align with the company’s goals.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team member, providing technical guidance and support in mechanical design tasks to ensure project objectives are met effectively.
Develop detailed mechanical designs and 3D models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar platforms.
Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate design integrity and optimize mechanical components for strength, durability, and performance.
Apply knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes to select appropriate materials and methods that enhance product functionality and reduce costs.
Ensure mechanical designs follow Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) guidelines and comply with relevant engineering standards and industry codes.
Conduct tolerance analysis and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) to improve product quality and ease of production.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and product management to implement design changes and resolve technical issues.
Create prototypes for testing and validation purposes, iterating designs based on feedback and performance results.
Maintain and update Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems to track design revisions and project documentation accurately.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing existing designs and recommending enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design documentation, and drawings for internal use and client communication.
