You will be responsible for:
- Entering patient information and charges into the medical billing software.
- Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits for patients.
- Preparing and sending invoices and statements to patients and insurance companies.
- Posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
- Handling inquiries and complaints from patients and insurance companies.
- Maintaining records and reports of billing activities.
To be eligible for this position, you should have:
Minimum Bachelors degree or A Levels studying towards Bachelors degree. Employer may ask to provide proof of admission in Bachelors
- At least 1 year of experience in medical billing or a related field.
- Good computer skills and familiarity with medical billing software.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures
- Should be able to prepare, review, validate and transmit claims over medical billing software with minimum supervision.
- Should be able to identify and bill secondary and tertiary insurance.
- Manage Accounts receivables.
- Communicate with the patients and insurance companies and adjust their accounts accordingly.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
