We are seeking a full-time, on-site Software Developer based in Karachi with a minimum of five years of professional experience and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. The successful candidate will play a critical role in modernizing an existing legacy Classic ASP Web Forms application by transforming it into a robust .NET Core API paired with an Angular front end. This position requires a hands-on approach to full-stack development, including unit testing, DevOps practices, secure coding standards, and the integration of AI-assisted workflows. The role operates on a night shift schedule and offers a competitive salary range of PKR 250,000 to 300,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the modernization of legacy Classic ASP Web Forms applications by developing scalable and maintainable .NET Core APIs.
- Design and implement dynamic front-end interfaces using Angular to enhance user experience.
- Engage in full-stack development tasks, ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end components.
- Write comprehensive unit tests to maintain high code quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline deployment pipelines and automate workflows.
- Apply secure coding practices to protect applications against vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize AI-assisted tools and workflows to improve development efficiency and product functionality.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize application performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development.
- Proven expertise in Classic ASP Web Forms and experience transitioning legacy systems to modern frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in .NET Core for API development.
- Solid experience with Angular for front-end development.
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and methodologies.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools to support continuous integration and deployment.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and application security fundamentals.
- Ability to work effectively during night shifts and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
