SoftLink is seeking an experienced Backend Developer with five years of professional experience to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate specializes in designing and implementing robust server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. The Backend Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable applications, focusing on APIs, databases, and cloud integration. This role does not involve managing a team, allowing the candidate to concentrate on developing high-quality backend solutions that support company goals and enhance user experience.
In this role, the Backend Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining the core functional logic of web applications, integrating various services and APIs, and ensuring the security and efficiency of backend systems. The position demands strong expertise in microservices architecture, cloud computing, and database management. The Backend Developer actively participates in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning, while adhering to security best practices. Continuous learning and innovation are encouraged to contribute to SoftLink's growing technology stack.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs.
- Implement RESTful APIs that provide seamless communication between front-end and backend systems.
- Manage database schemas and ensure data integrity through effective database management and optimization.
- Architect and develop microservices that promote modularity, reusability, and maintainability.
- Utilize cloud computing platforms to deploy and scale backend infrastructure effectively.
- Apply security best practices to safeguard applications against vulnerabilities and unauthorized access.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and other teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Use version control systems to manage codebase changes and ensure collaborative development.
- Conduct thorough testing of backend components using tools like Postman to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback, improving code quality.
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize application performance through profiling and tuning.
- Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and incorporate them into projects when beneficial.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backend performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Work within an Agile development environment, attending sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
