Sky Power is seeking a skilled Chemical Plant Operator to join our team and oversee daily plant operations. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience operating chemical processing equipment and managing process control systems. This role involves operating and monitoring the plant machinery, ensuring safety compliance, and performing regular equipment maintenance. The operator will manage a team of four persons, coordinating activities to meet production goals while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards and operational protocols. Strong knowledge of chemical handling and programmable logic controllers is essential for success in this position. As a Chemical Plant Operator at Sky Power, you will play a key role in ensuring continuous and efficient chemical production processes. You will be responsible for supervising the work team, troubleshooting systems, and implementing safety measures to minimize risk. This position demands a proactive approach to process optimization and diligent monitoring of control systems to maintain product quality and operational efficiency. Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor chemical plant equipment and process control systems to ensure continuous production.
  • Supervise and manage a team of four operators, providing direction and support during daily operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to reduce downtime and extend service life.
  • Handle and store chemicals safely following established guidelines to prevent spills and contamination.
  • Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLC) to control and adjust process parameters for optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and instrumentation to identify potential issues and initiate corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed operational records and reports to document plant activities and incidents.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to troubleshoot technical problems and implement improvements.
  • Monitor process data and respond promptly to alarms or irregular operation conditions to avoid disruptions.
  • Train and mentor junior operators on standard operating procedures and safety practices to enhance team capabilities.
  • Participate in safety drills and emergency response activities to ensure readiness and compliance.
  • Adapt to changing production demands, adjusting workflows and resource allocation effectively.
  • Ensure all environmental and regulatory compliance requirements are met throughout the production process.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance process efficiency and safety.
