Join Skline as an Accountant and take charge of maintaining precise and current accounting records that provide a clear financial picture of the company. You will record daily transactions, manage invoices and payments, and oversee general ledger activities to ensure accurate financial documentation. Your role includes monitoring cash flow, preparing detailed financial statements, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes. You will play a crucial part in tax preparation and compliance, including VAT requirements specific to the UAE. Collaboration with auditors and support in month-end and year-end financial closing will also be key duties. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving any discrepancies while maintaining strict confidentiality. In this role, you will manage a dedicated team of three accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental financial goals. You will ensure that all accounting procedures comply with regulatory standards and internal policies. Your responsibility extends to reviewing expenses for accuracy and compliance, coordinating with various departments to maintain seamless financial operations. The ideal candidate holds a bachelors degree in Accounting or related fields and brings 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, combining technical proficiency with strong organizational skills to support Sklines financial health and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and ledgers for the company.
  • Record daily financial transactions including invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes efficiently.
  • Prepare customer invoices and actively follow up to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables.
  • Process supplier invoices and arrange payments adhering to approved procedures and timelines.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements, supplier accounts, customer accounts, and general ledger balances.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly financial statements and management reports to support decision-making.
  • Monitor cash flow and maintain detailed cash and bank transaction records.
  • Assist in the development and review of budgets, forecasts, and perform variance analysis to support financial planning.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all accounting records to maintain organizational compliance.
  • Review expenses and supporting documents thoroughly to ensure accuracy and adherence to company policies and regulations.
  • Assist with the calculation and submission of VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors by preparing required financial schedules and providing supporting documentation.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes to deliver timely financial reports.
  • Authorize and support accounting transactions properly, maintaining data integrity and security.
  • Identify and promptly resolve accounting discrepancies, maintaining accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial and company information at all times.
  • Manage and supervise a team of three accounting professionals, providing leadership and mentoring to ensure efficient department operations.
  • Perform additional accounting and finance duties as assigned by management to support ongoing organizational needs.
