PHP Developer

SiteAlive seeks a skilled PHP Developer with a solid foundation in PHP 7 and 8, proficient in modern object-oriented programming principles, namespaces, and advanced PHP features such as typed properties, union types, and attributes. The ideal candidate demonstrates a thorough understanding of PSR standards, dependency injection, and writes clean, maintainable code while leveraging Composer for package management and managing autoloading mechanisms effectively. Experience with version control systems like Git, especially with branching strategies and collaborative workflows, is essential. This role requires expertise in both CodeIgniter (versions 3 and 4) and Laravel frameworks, including their MVC architecture, routing, middleware, and in-depth knowledge of components like Eloquent ORM, database migrations, seeders, query builders, service providers, facades, and artisan commands. Familiarity with CodeIgniters filters and modules for building scalable and efficient applications is also necessary. The PHP Developer will work extensively with MySQL, demonstrating strong database design skills, normalization, indexing, and query optimization. Practical experience with transactions, stored procedures, and maintaining database security is critical. The role includes using database administration tools such as phpMyAdmin and MySQL Workbench in a Windows environment, with emphasis on backup and recovery procedures. Frontend integration competencies with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript are required, along with the ability to implement and consume RESTful APIs, handle JSON data, and manage asynchronous programming tasks. Candidates must be adept in Windows-based development environments, utilizing tools like XAMPP or Laragon, and proficient with IDEs such as PhpStorm or Visual Studio Code. A solid understanding of web security principles, including countermeasures against SQL injection, cross-site scripting, and cross-site request forgery, is crucial for maintaining robust applications. This position requires minimum three years of experience and offers a starting salary of 3 lakh rupees per month.
Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality PHP applications following best practices and using modern PHP features
• Implement and maintain MVC architecture in Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks, ensuring efficient routing, middleware usage, and integration of framework-specific components
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code adhering to PSR standards and leveraging dependency injection
• Manage package dependencies and autoloading through Composer effectively
• Create and maintain database schemas, optimize queries, and implement stored procedures and transactions using MySQL
• Use database administration tools like phpMyAdmin and MySQL Workbench for routine database maintenance, backup, and recovery operations
• Integrate frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript with backend PHP applications and ensure smooth API interactions
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs, handle JSON payloads, and implement asynchronous programming to enhance application responsiveness
• Use Git for version control, manage branches, and collaborate effectively within the development team
• Configure and maintain development environments on Windows using tools like XAMPP or Laragon and preferred IDEs
• Apply web security best practices to protect applications against common vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF attacks
• Conduct unit testing to validate code quality and functionality to ensure reliable software delivery
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement processes
