Under the guidance, advice and support of the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer, He/she will be responsible for the following:
- Preparing accounts and maintaining accurate records in the project's relevant books.
- Develop liaison, coordination and communication with donors/Prime and the project team regarding financial and accounting matters. Additionally, he/she will oversee the maintenance of project files, documents, and data, ensuring confidentiality, and assist in coordinating administrative and logistical tasks related to finances.
Facilitating field teams financially in the implementation of activities;
- Timely submission of deliverables reporting to donor;
- Verifying all the financial transactions related to the payments and receipts of the project;
- Verifying all the calculations, rates, salaries, tax payments and product prices of the project;
- Ensure the working procedures according to the policies and guidelines of the organization;
- Maintain close liaison with Project Management, managerial staff and provincial and district level government departments.
- Prepare and maintain account books in accordance with Signify’s financial management policies and procedures and donor referrals.
- Prepare all kinds of payments and receipts vouchers
- Handle project accounts and petty cash as per organizational financial policies
- Check and reconcile the statements of accounts prepared by banks, prepare and reconcile the trial balance sheet with account books and put forward to head of operations for further approval.
- Assist with budget preparation
