Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable Lecturer of Nursing to join its academic faculty. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality nursing education, combining theoretical knowledge with practical clinical skills to prepare students for a career in nursing. This role involves creating and updating course curricula, facilitating clinical instruction, and fostering an engaging learning environment that supports student development. The lecturer collaborates closely with other healthcare professionals and academic staff to ensure that educational programs meet current healthcare standards and regulatory requirements. The Lecturer of Nursing plays a crucial role in mentoring and guiding students throughout their academic journey, emphasizing evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration. Although this role does not include managing a team, it requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to assess and evaluate student performance effectively. The position also includes facilitating simulation training and contributing to academic research to continuously improve nursing education and healthcare outcomes.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and update nursing curriculum materials to align with the latest healthcare standards and educational best practices.
  • Deliver lectures and clinical instruction that integrate theoretical knowledge with practical patient care techniques.
  • Design and implement simulation training exercises to enhance students clinical decision-making and procedural skills.
  • Evaluate student progress through assessments, examinations, and performance reviews to ensure competency in nursing principles and practices.
  • Promote evidence-based nursing practices in all teaching activities and encourage critical thinking among students.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive nursing education and prepare students for real-world clinical settings.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and academic policies within nursing programs.
  • Mentor students by providing guidance on academic progress, career aspirations, and professional development.
  • Engage in academic research and contribute to scholarly publications to advance the field of nursing education.
  • Participate in university committees and contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursing department and its programs.
  • Facilitate workshops and seminars to keep students and faculty informed about emerging trends and technologies in healthcare.
