Manager – IPD Admissions & Discharges will be responsible for planning, leading and optimizing inpatient admissions, financial counseling, bed management, financial compliance, billing and discharge operations to ensure seamless patient flow, exceptional patient experience, operational efficiency, revenue integrity, and compliance with hospital policies and JCI standards. The role works closely with clinical and support departments to improve patient access, bed utilization, and service delivery through process improvement and digital transformation.

Responsibilities

Managing & supervising all inpatient admission & discharge activities by ensuring accurate patient estimation & financial counseling, admission documentation, payments, and overall efficiency of the process.
Monitor bed availability and minimize admission and transfer delays in coordination with other teams.
Overseeing efficient discharge planning and execution.
Coordinate with clinical, nursing, inpatient, pharmacy, billing teams to reduce discharge turnaround time.
Ensure compliance with financial clearance, cash management and deposit, refund processes.
Lead, coach, and develop Admission & Discharge staff to ensure optimal performance in all functional areas
Manage staffing, performance, training, and operational discipline.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and service excellence.
Drive automation and optimization of admission and discharge workflows.
Utilize HMIS and operational dashboards to improve efficiency.
Lead process mapping, workflow redesign, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Document & track departmental and individual performance KPIs on monthly basis to ensure compliance, and trainings.
Developing a system of gathering, reviewing and analyzing patient feedback for structured improvement and development
