Manager WASH & DRR is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of WASH and Disaster Risk Reduction programs. The role focuses on emergency response, climate-resilient interventions, and donor-funded project management. The position ensures high-quality program delivery, compliance with donor requirements, and alignment with national and international standards.


Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative ideas, concept notes and technical proposals for grants/funding opportunities related to DRR, Emergency, WASH programing and preparation of initial draft of budget in collaboration with finance team.
  • Accountable for creating and delivering a winning proposal for each assigned opportunity and ensuring full compliance to Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements.
  • Identify WASH and DRR needs in potential program areas, based on learning, operational research, Coordinate & hold partnership meetings with INGOs and donor agencies.
  • Responsible for implementation/ Management of WASH/DRR Donor funded projects across Pakistan.
  • Review, monitor and manage the budget allocated for the project and ensure budget is utilized efficiently in-line with donor requirements and regularly provide feedback on Budget Variance Analysis to track program spending/ budget with fiancé department.
  • Develop and update DRR, emergency preparedness (EPRP), and climate-resilient WASH strategies in line with national policies and international standards (e.g., Sphere).
  • Provide technical support to Logistic, Finance and HR for development of (Program BOQ’s, technical JD and hiring process) for new projects development and implementation.
  • Provide technical oversight for water supply infrastructure, sanitation facilities, and hygiene promotion in both development and emergency contexts.
  • Identify, pilot, and scale up climate-resilient WASH solutions to help communities manage shocks and stress.
  • Lead rapid needs assessments, design emergency WASH interventions, and coordinate with Clusters.
  • Ensure that all relevant data and information is updated, well organized and easily accessible and lessons learnt and best practice are capitalized.
  • Provide technical validation in monthly, quarterly and annual reports to SF management and donor agencies.
