• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and designs as required by WASH & DRR government-approved CSR/local market rates.
  • Conduct social and technical feasibilities for Project activities at a different level.
  • Plan and design, following construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools (wherever needed) for the execution of project activities.
  • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards.
  • Support and supervise daily skilled and unskilled workers/ project volunteers and give them useful instruction regarding their work improvement, through coordination with the relevant skilled staff and Manager WASH & DRR.
  • Approve materials on request; maintain site records and files.
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and other topographical or geologic data to plan project activities.
  • Prepare & review the work schedule of different activities to ensure progress on work and catch-up plans are prepared and implemented.
  • Regular supervision of construction works to ensure completion within stipulated time.
  • Provide technical guidance on site as per design, drawing & specifications by ensuring work are done as per standers.
  • Carry out correspondence with the Project Manager regarding any variation in order due to additional works.
  • Ensure that an empowering approach to working with communities is employed by ensuring that they are involved in the decision making process and have ample opportunity to give feedback which is acted upon.

Coordination

  • Maintain close liaison with social organizers, hygiene promoters and CBOs
  • Establish strong liaison with all relevant departments and get the technical guidance from WASH & DRR Manager, day to day lessons and best practices replication in implementing

Documentation

  • Ensure proper documentation related to WASH and community infrastructure construction.
  • Design appropriate CPI schemes and Preparing BOQs for all construction work.
  • Preparation of work plans for all construction works
  • Prepare and submission of technical feasibility reports.
  • Prepare and submission of final report of all construction works

Reporting

  • Report all the activities to Manager WASH & DRR in a timely manner.
  • Collect and analyze the reports and provide necessary feedback to the concerned
  • Prepare field visit report and other ad hoc reports
  • Compile and submission of bi-weekly or monthly reports for all construction works
  • Any other assignment given by the supervisor according to the project need
