Job Summary:

The Social Mobilization Expert will be responsible for community engagement and outreach activities for the Benazir Nashonuma Program (BNP). The expert will engage the Social mobilizers to mobilize local communities, raise awareness about the program's objectives, and ensure that eligible women and children receive the benefits provided by the BNP. The role requires develop strategies and policies for enhancing mobilization of program in close coordination with health facilities, local leaders, and community-based organizations to ensure the program’s successful implementation and to increase participation rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social mobilization strategies aimed at raising awareness about the BNP’s nutrition and health services for pregnant and lactating women, and children under two.
  • Engage with community leaders, local organizations, and other stakeholders to promote the program and encourage community participation.
  • Facilitate community meetings, sessions, and workshops to educate target populations on the importance of maternal and child nutrition, vaccination, and health services offered by BNP.
  • Identify and engage local influencers (e.g., religious leaders, schoolteachers, women’s groups) to act as advocates for the program within their communities.
  • Train and support field workers, volunteers, and other mobilizers in community engagement techniques to enhance outreach efforts.
  • Monitor and assess community response to the program and adjust mobilization strategies based on feedback from the field.
  • Collaborate with health facility staff and field teams to ensure that community mobilization efforts are aligned with program objectives.
  • Gather community feedback and report findings to the program management team, providing suggestions for improving program outreach and community participation.
  • Organize events and campaigns (e.g., health camps, door-to-door awareness drives) to further BNP’s reach.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on mobilization activities, including challenges faced and success stories.
  • Advocate for gender-sensitive approaches in program delivery to ensure inclusivity and cultural appropriateness in all outreach activities.

Working Conditions:

  • Extensive fieldwork and travel to rural or underdeveloped areas.
  • Flexibility in working hours may be required based on community activities.
  • Close coordination with local health facilities, BNP field staff, and other stakeholders.
