Accountant

Shahid & Co seeks a skilled Accountant with at least five years of experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate demonstrates sharp analytical abilities and a strong commitment to accuracy in financial reporting and compliance. This role does not involve managing a team but requires close collaboration with internal departments to ensure financial data integrity and support decision-making processes.

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining detailed financial records, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and company policies. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple financial tasks efficiently while continuously identifying opportunities to improve accounting procedures.
Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to provide insights to management.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax filings and audits.
Reconcile accounts by verifying transactions and identifying discrepancies.
Monitor and process accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning.
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and implement best practices.
Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
