Shaheen Precast is looking for an Assistant Production Manager to oversee precast concrete production activities and ensure daily targets are met with high quality standards. This role focuses on managing the complete production cycle, including mould preparation, reinforcement, casting, vibration, curing, demoulding, and finishing. The ideal candidate works closely with planning, project, QA/QC, maintenance, stores, and dispatch teams to maintain smooth operations, optimize resource usage, and adhere to safety and quality regulations. Experience in production scheduling, material requirements planning, and lean manufacturing principles is essential to drive efficiency and continuous improvements. The Assistant Production Manager plays a key role in monitoring production efficiency, minimizing wastage and rework, and identifying bottlenecks for ongoing process enhancement. Although this position does not include managing a team, the candidate acts as a pivotal coordinator among various functions to ensure seamless production flow. Maintaining accurate production records and reporting to management is also critical to track performance and support decision making. The role demands a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance and a proactive approach to problem solving in a fast-paced precast industry environment.
Responsibilities

Plan and supervise daily precast concrete production activities to meet established targets and deadlines.
Prepare, monitor, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules in coordination with Planning and Project teams.
Oversee all stages of the production cycle including mould preparation, reinforcement placement, concrete casting, vibration, curing, demoulding, and finishing operations.
Ensure production processes comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and company policies.
Manage and optimize the utilization of production manpower, materials, moulds, and equipment to maximize productivity.
Coordinate closely with Quality Assurance/Quality Control, Maintenance, Stores, Planning, and Dispatch departments to ensure uninterrupted and efficient production flow.
Monitor key performance indicators such as production efficiency, material wastage, rejection rates, rework, and downtime; identify causes and implement corrective measures.
Maintain a safe production environment by enforcing compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements, and promoting well-organized housekeeping practices.
Identify production bottlenecks and areas for process improvement to reduce costs, shorten cycle time, and minimize material waste using lean manufacturing techniques.
Maintain detailed and accurate production records; prepare and submit daily and weekly production reports and performance updates to management.
Contribute to root cause analysis activities to address production issues and implement preventive solutions.
