The SEO Team Lead will oversee and mentor a team of SEO specialists dedicated to improving local search visibility, organic traffic, and overall SEO performance. This role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in Local SEO and a strong grasp of emerging search technologies such as Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-driven search, and Google’s E-E-A-T principles. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, ensuring SEO initiatives align with business objectives while fostering team growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute Local SEO strategies to enhance rankings in map packs, citation consistency, and Google Business Profile (GBP) visibility. Optimize GBPs for accuracy, NAP consistency, and user engagement, while managing review strategies to strengthen online reputation. Conduct comprehensive SEO audits covering on-page, off-page, and technical factors to identify and resolve performance issues. Oversee schema markup implementation, local landing page optimization, and improvements to site architecture. Lead local link-building campaigns focused on quality, authority, and local relevance. Stay updated on Google algorithm changes, AI-driven search trends, and GEO best practices, adjusting strategies accordingly. Train the SEO team on current search trends, including LLM-driven results, zero-click searches, Core Web Vitals, and E-E-A-T standards. Monitor and analyze SEO metrics such as local traffic, keyword rankings, and conversion rates. Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders. Collaborate with content, design, development, and marketing teams to align SEO strategies with overall business goals. Conduct competitor research and local market analysis to uncover growth opportunities. Implement tracking and reporting using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, BrightLocal, Whitespark, and Screaming Frog. Lead the SEO team by assigning tasks, setting goals, and monitoring progress to ensure timely project delivery. Mentor SEO executives and analysts, providing constructive feedback to enhance skills and productivity. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the team. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of SEO experience, including at least 2 years focused on Local SEO. Proven experience in a Team Lead or Senior SEO role, preferably within a digital marketing agency serving the USA market. Strong expertise in Google Business Profile optimization, local citations, link-building, and reputation management. In-depth knowledge of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Large Language Models (LLMs), zero-click search results, Core Web Vitals, and Google’s E-E-A-T framework. Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, BrightLocal, Whitespark, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and Search Console. Solid understanding of technical SEO, including schema markup, crawlability, and site structure. Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, and Wix. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. Ability to balance strategic planning with tactical execution in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated success in improving local SEO visibility and delivering measurable business results. Effective time-management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Up-to-date knowledge of modern SEO trends, including GEO, LLM-driven search, and AI-integrated results. Client-focused mindset with the ability to communicate complex SEO concepts clearly.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred. Working hours are from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM PST, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to accommodate daylight savings. Female employees have the option to leave the office by 9:00 PM and complete their shift remotely. The position offers a competitive salary range of Rs150,000 to Rs200,000 per month.
