Join Experian as a technical leader within our development teams, where you will address complex engineering challenges and influence system architecture and design, including AI/ML-integrated and GenAI-enabled solutions. You will oversee the entire development lifecycle—from analysis and architecture to implementation, testing, and deployment—delivering scalable GenAI products. Working closely with Product, QA, UX, and DevOps teams, you will ensure smooth planning and feature delivery while driving innovation through agentic workflows, large language model (LLM) integrations, and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate engineering outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and shape system architecture and design for AI/ML and GenAI-enabled systems.
- Lead the full development lifecycle, including analysis, architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment of scalable GenAI solutions.
- Design and prototype agentic workflows, LLM integrations, and AI-assisted tools to boost engineering productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, QA, UX, and DevOps to ensure cohesive planning and feature delivery.
- Define and execute the technical strategy for product development, recommending suitable technologies and approaches.
- Champion Agile principles by actively participating in ceremonies, backlog refinement, and cross-team coordination.
- Conduct code reviews, engage in technical discussions, and facilitate knowledge-sharing to raise engineering standards.
- Operate in a hybrid work model, reporting to a Senior Director, with an onsite presence required two days per week.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of software engineering experience with strong backend development skills in Python, Spark, Scala, Java, or Spring Boot.
- At least 3 years of experience building AI-integrated or LLM-backed services is highly desirable.
- Minimum 3 years of experience designing and deploying cloud-native systems on AWS, including Lambda, ECS, S3, and API Gateway, with expertise in hosting and scaling GenAI inference workloads.
- Proven ability to design scalable, maintainable, and secure software architectures, including experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, vector stores, and multi-agent orchestration patterns.
- Working knowledge of DevSecOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code; familiarity with MLOps or AI deployment workflows is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and messaging systems like Kafka or SQS. Experience integrating LLM APIs or model-centric platforms (MCP) is preferred.
- Practical understanding of Generative AI concepts and tools, including prompt engineering, agentic frameworks, and responsible AI principles.
