Senior Full-Stack Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Developer to take full ownership of an existing custom-built business management product. The successful candidate will have deep experience with Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL, and frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript. This role requires a thorough understanding of the current system, addressing technical debt, and enhancing both backend and frontend components to improve performance, security, and scalability. The developer will be responsible for maintaining and evolving the application to meet business needs while ensuring a robust and secure architecture.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct a comprehensive review and technical assessment of the existing source code, application architecture, and database schema.
- Analyze APIs, authentication and authorization mechanisms, and business logic to identify incomplete modules, bugs, technical debt, and security vulnerabilities.
- Document the current system architecture and development environment in detail.
- Take complete technical ownership of the application after handover.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.js, including RESTful API creation and enhancement.
- Implement business logic and workflows, ensuring backend performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Manage secure authentication and role-based authorization using JWT.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services as needed.
- Handle PostgreSQL database operations such as writing optimized SQL queries, managing tables, relationships, indexes, and constraints.
- Perform database migrations, maintain data integrity, optimize performance, and oversee backup and recovery procedures.
- Maintain and improve the existing frontend built with HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and JavaScript.
- Connect frontend interfaces with backend APIs, enhance usability and responsiveness, and resolve UI/UX issues.

Required Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and JavaScript development.
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, query optimization, and management.
- Expertise in REST API development and implementing JWT-based authentication and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Good knowledge of frontend technologies: HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and JavaScript.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git (GitHub or GitLab).
- Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience in taking over existing applications and refactoring legacy codebases.
- Skills in database optimization and applying API security best practices.
- Familiarity with application deployment processes and Linux/server environments.
- Knowledge of web servers like Nginx or Apache.
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and API documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Exposure to cloud hosting platforms is an advantage.
- Competitive monthly compensation ranging from Rs40,000 to Rs80,000.
- This position requires in-person attendance at the work location.
