Senior Embedded System/Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a full-time Senior Embedded System/Automation Engineer based in Karachi with a minimum of four years’ experience in embedded systems or industrial automation. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant engineering degree and possess strong skills in both hardware and software development. This role involves working extensively with embedded C/C++, servo drives, Field-Oriented Control (FOC), Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controllers, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), AC motor drivers, PCB design, microcontrollers, sensors, communication protocols, as well as debugging and testing embedded systems. The position requires on-site presence during morning shifts, six days a week, with a competitive monthly salary range of PKR 100,000 to 300,000.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain embedded software using C/C++ for various industrial automation applications.
- Design and implement control algorithms such as FOC and PID for servo drives and motor control systems.
- Work on hardware design including PCB layout and integration of microcontrollers and sensors.
- Collaborate on the development and testing of VFDs and AC motor drivers to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize communication protocols to enable effective data exchange between embedded devices.
- Conduct thorough debugging and testing of embedded systems to ensure reliability and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in embedded applications.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support product development and deployment.
- Maintain documentation related to design, testing, and maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in embedded systems or industrial automation.
- Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming and software development for microcontrollers.
- Strong understanding of servo drives, motor control techniques including FOC and PID.
- Experience with VFDs, AC motor drivers, and related hardware components.
- Skilled in PCB design and hardware troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with various sensors and communication protocols used in embedded systems.
- Ability to perform detailed debugging and testing of embedded hardware and software.
- Willingness to work on-site during morning shifts, six days per week.
