Senior Developer Experience Engineer - Technical Lead

Broadridge is seeking a passionate and experienced technical leader to join our India Developer Experience team. The successful candidate will lead daily technical execution, engage with multiple stakeholders, and ensure alignment between business goals and engineering efforts. This position combines hands-on technical involvement with strategic leadership to empower developers and optimize workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the India Developer Experience team by managing daily technical activities, resolving challenges, and ensuring consistent delivery.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders and teams to gather, clarify, and prioritize requirements, aligning business objectives with engineering tasks.
- Maintain a well-groomed backlog by translating stakeholder needs into clear, actionable, and prioritized work items.
- Coordinate cross-team efforts to sequence work, manage dependencies, and keep projects on track.
- Remain hands-on by participating in design discussions, code reviews, and problem-solving, primarily using Node.js and Java.
- Provide guidance on deployment pipelines, environments, and core networking concepts to support infrastructure and release decisions.
- Utilize practical experience with AI and AI-based tools to enhance developer productivity throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Promote a developer-centric culture that encourages continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.
- Streamline development workflows by implementing best practices and eliminating bottlenecks to optimize the path from code creation to deployment.
- Evaluate, select, and manage tools, frameworks, and infrastructure that enable developers to build, test, and deploy software efficiently.
- Implement training, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to support the technical growth of the India team.
- Advocate for developers’ needs and represent their interests in organizational decision-making to maintain a developer-focused approach.
- Establish continuous feedback mechanisms to identify pain points, gather insights, and drive ongoing improvements in developer experience.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to developer satisfaction, productivity, and engagement, using data-driven insights to guide enhancements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in developer experience to maintain innovation and competitiveness.
- Ensure Broadridge Enterprise Platforms are user-friendly, fit for purpose, and easily adopted by developers.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience leading technical teams, preferably within developer experience or engineering enablement.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and Java, with hands-on experience in design, code review, and problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to manage backlogs, prioritize work, and coordinate across multiple teams.
- Solid understanding of deployment pipelines, environments, and core networking concepts.
- Practical experience applying AI and AI-based tools to improve developer productivity.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering.
- Ability to foster a collaborative, developer-centric culture focused on continuous improvement.
- Experience in mentoring, training, and enabling technical teams.
