Scan Accounting is seeking a skilled Canadian Tax Specialist with 2-3 years of experience in handling tax filings and financial software. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of T1 and T2 tax filings, experience in filing HST returns, and be proficient in using QuickBooks and Caseware. This is a remote position requiring a flexible schedule to work during Canadian business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file T1 personal tax returns and T2 corporate tax returns for Canadian clients.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of HST/GST returns.
- Utilize QuickBooks and Caseware for bookkeeping, tax preparation, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with Canadian tax regulations.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients as needed.
- Assist with audits, tax reviews, and other tax-related queries.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in Canadian tax filing (T1, T2, HST).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Caseware.
- Strong understanding of Canadian tax laws and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
