Saleem Trading seeks an experienced Export Manager with a strong background in international trade and export compliance to oversee export operations and ensure adherence to relevant regulations. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments to facilitate smooth and timely shipment of goods across borders. Knowledge of import processes is also essential to provide a comprehensive understanding of international trade logistics and regulatory adherence.
The Export Manager operates independently without direct supervisory responsibilities but plays a critical role in coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders such as customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory authorities. The position demands excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving compliance issues to minimize risks and avoid delays or penalties. Strong familiarity with export documentation software and international trade compliance systems is necessary to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire export process from order receipt to shipment delivery, ensuring compliance with international trade laws and export regulations.
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, export licenses, and customs declarations.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to facilitate timely customs clearance and shipment dispatch.
- Monitor changes in export compliance regulations and international trade laws and implement necessary adjustments to company procedures.
- Conduct regular audits of export processes and documentation to identify and rectify compliance gaps or errors.
- Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to ensure smooth and efficient export operations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import procedures to support related trade activities and provide recommendations when necessary.
- Use export documentation software to track shipments, generate reports, and streamline compliance workflows.
- Assist in the resolution of export-related issues, such as customs holds or regulatory inquiries, minimizing operational disruptions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies and trade partners to stay informed about industry best practices.
