The WASH Officer is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs in the designated area, ensuring access to safe water, improved sanitation facilities, and hygiene education for communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Implementation: Execute WASH projects, including water supply systems, sanitation facilities, and hygiene promotion activities.
  2. Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly assess the progress of WASH activities and ensure they meet quality standards.
  3. Community Engagement: Work with local communities to raise awareness about sanitation, hygiene practices, and safe water usage.
  4. Capacity Building: Train local staff and community members on WASH-related skills and best practices.
  5. Reporting: Provide regular updates on program activities, progress, and challenges to senior management and stakeholders.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with local authorities, NGOs, and partners to ensure coordinated and effective WASH interventions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, public health, or related field.
  • Experience in WASH program implementation.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
