Sweeper

Saab Moulded Furniture is seeking a diligent and reliable Sweeper to join their facility maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining clean and safe working environments by performing manual sweeping and handling cleaning equipment efficiently. This role requires attention to detail, consistency in performing routine cleaning tasks, and the ability to work independently without supervision. The Sweeper plays a crucial role in ensuring that all designated areas remain free from dirt, debris, and hazards, contributing to a productive and pleasant workplace. In this position, the Sweeper does not manage a team but collaborates closely with other maintenance and operations personnel to uphold the companys cleanliness standards. The position suits individuals who take pride in maintaining organized environments and who possess a strong work ethic. Prior experience is valued but not mandatory, as training will be provided on proper sweeping techniques and safe use of cleaning equipment.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough manual sweeping of floors, corridors, and open areas within the facility to remove dust, dirt, and debris.
Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of the tools.
Ensure all waste and debris collected is disposed of in accordance with company policies and environmental guidelines.
Maintain awareness of safety procedures to prevent accidents during cleaning activities and promptly report any hazards or maintenance issues.
Support routine inspections of cleanliness in assigned areas and respond promptly to requests for additional cleaning.
Adhere strictly to company cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure the environment meets health and safety standards.
Collaborate with team members to handle special cleaning projects or heightened cleaning needs during peak operational periods.
Maintain personal and equipment cleanliness, including performing minor cleaning and upkeep of tools after use.
Report any damage or issues with cleaning equipment to maintenance for quick resolution.
Contribute to a positive workplace by demonstrating a dependable and proactive approach to assigned tasks.
