Saab Moulded Furniture is seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of its premises, assets, and personnel. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong physical fitness and proficiency in operating various security equipment. Preference is given to individuals retired from the armed forces, leveraging their disciplined approach and experience in security operations. This role involves monitoring entry and exit points, patrolling the property, and promptly responding to any security breaches or emergencies, all while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
This position requires strict attention to detail and the ability to remain alert during assigned shifts to deter unauthorized access and protect the company's interests. The Security Guard does not manage a team but works closely with the security team and reports directly to management to ensure comprehensive security coverage. By enforcing company policies and regulations, the role contributes to a safe and secure environment conducive to smooth business operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles to maintain security and control.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to detect and prevent theft, vandalism, or any suspicious activity.
- Operate security equipment such as surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and communication devices effectively.
- Report incidents such as fire, theft, or unauthorized persons to the relevant authorities or management promptly.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities, irregularities, and incidents.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure safety and security within the premises.
- Assist in emergency response situations, including evacuations, first aid, or crisis management interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and emergency personnel during investigations or critical incidents.
- Maintain a visible presence and act as a deterrent against potential security threats.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing visitor inquiries and directing them appropriately in a courteous manner.
