Accountant

S A Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background and at least three years of experience in handling various accounting functions. This role does not involve team management but requires the individual to independently manage key accounting responsibilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. The Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of the company by preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and conducting reconciliations. The Accountant works closely with internal departments and external parties to ensure tax compliance and accurate financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software and a comprehensive understanding of general ledger management are essential. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple accounting tasks efficiently to support the company's financial operations.
Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, maintaining timely and accurate records.
Perform general ledger management, including posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing tax returns and assisting with audits.
Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements, vendor accounts, and other financial records.
Utilize accounting software to record and track financial transactions accurately.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring all financial data is properly recorded.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and provide financial information.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation and records.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts as required.
