The Chief Strategy & Growth Officer (CSGO) is a key leadership role responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure the long-term growth, sustainability, and competitive edge of the Roots School System. This position requires a visionary leader with expertise in strategic planning, business development, and market expansion, coupled with a deep understanding of the education sector. The CSGO will work closely with the executive team to drive initiatives that enhance operational excellence, student outcomes, and the school system's reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Vision

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the future growth of Roots School System, including new campus development, student enrollment, and revenue diversification.
  • Define and communicate the organization’s strategic vision, aligning it with its mission and values.
  • Identify emerging trends, opportunities, and risks in the education sector to ensure proactive planning.

2. Business Growth and Market Expansion

  • Lead efforts to expand the school system’s footprint through the establishment of new campuses locally and internationally.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and franchising.
  • Create and execute strategies to increase student enrollment and retention across all campuses.

3. Innovation and Digital Transformation

  • Drive innovation by integrating cutting-edge educational technologies and modern pedagogical approaches.
  • Oversee the implementation of digital transformation initiatives to enhance teaching, learning, and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement across the organization.

4. Operational Excellence and Efficiency

  • Collaborate with internal departments to streamline operations, ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress of strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education and student outcomes.

5. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Act as a key representative of the organization in engaging with stakeholders, including parents, alumni, government bodies, and corporate partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local and international organizations, educational boards, and accrediting bodies.
  • Communicate the organization’s strategic goals and progress to internal and external stakeholders.

6. Financial and Resource Planning

  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure alignment between strategic initiatives and budgetary constraints.
  • Develop financial models and forecasts to support decision-making for growth initiatives.
  • Optimize resource allocation to maximize ROI on strategic projects.

7. Talent Development and Organizational Culture

  • Collaborate with the HR department to attract, retain, and develop top talent to support the organization’s growth.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence across all levels of the organization.
  • Mentor and develop leaders to align with the school system’s vision for the future.

8. Regulatory and Compliance Oversight

  • Ensure all new and existing campuses comply with government regulations, accreditation requirements, and education standards.
  • Oversee the registration of new programs and qualifications with relevant government departments.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Education Management, Strategy, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or a similar leadership role, with at least 5 years in the education sector.
