Riphah International University is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Teaching Fellow specializing in Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, or Artificial Intelligence. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, helping students grasp complex technical concepts, and supporting the academic progress within these fields. This role requires a strong foundation in programming, data structures, and security principles, acquired through a BS degree from an HEC recognized institute. The position involves direct interaction with students, fostering an engaging learning environment, and contributing to curriculum development.
The ideal candidate must have at least one year of relevant experience and demonstrate a solid understanding of object-oriented programming and information security management. While this position does not include team management responsibilities, it demands effective communication skills, commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs. The Teaching Fellow will collaborate with faculty members and participate in academic activities to enhance the departments educational offerings and research initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and practical sessions on software engineering, cyber security, information security, computer science, and artificial intelligence topics.
- Develop and update course materials, including lesson plans, assignments, and exams.
- Assist students in understanding complex technical concepts through clear explanations and personalized guidance.
- Evaluate student performance by grading assignments, quizzes, and exams, providing constructive feedback to promote learning.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in software engineering, cyber security, and related fields to incorporate relevant content into teaching.
- Support faculty members in research activities, curriculum design, and academic conferences.
- Maintain a disciplined and respectful classroom environment that encourages active participation and intellectual curiosity.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, helping them plan projects, research, and career paths.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of academic programs.
- Promote awareness and best practices in information security management through classroom discussions and extra-curricular activities.
