Riphah International University is seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Operation Theater Technology to provide exceptional teaching, practical training, and academic mentorship to students pursuing careers in allied health sciences. The ideal candidate holds an MS or MPhil in Operation Theater Technology from a recognized institution or is pursuing advanced studies with relevant qualifications. With up to two years of teaching or clinical experience, the applicant will demonstrate proficiency in managing academic records, guiding research projects, and coordinating clinical training placements. While this role does not include team management responsibilities, it involves collaboration with clinical partners and active participation in quality assurance processes. Strong communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to professional ethics are essential to succeed in this multifaceted academic position.
Responsibilities

Deliver lectures, laboratory sessions, and clinical demonstrations focused on operation theater technology, surgical procedures, and patient safety protocols.
Supervise students during clinical rotations and laboratory work to ensure practical competence and adherence to infection control standards.
Develop and update lesson plans, course outlines, instructional materials, and assessments including quizzes, assignments, practical exams, and OSCEs.
Assess and evaluate student performance accurately while maintaining comprehensive academic records, attendance logs, and assessment documentation.
Guide and mentor students through research projects, presentations, and final-year theses, fostering critical thinking and evidence-based practices.
Participate actively in curriculum review, quality assurance initiatives, and compliance with Higher Education Commission (HEC) and accreditation bodies.
Coordinate clinical placements and training activities with affiliated hospitals to facilitate hands-on learning experiences.
Contribute to departmental meetings, admissions processes, examination coordination, and accreditation visits to uphold academic standards.
Engage in research activities, contribute to scholarly publications, and pursue continuous professional development in the field of operation theater technology.
Support the integration of simulation-based learning, problem-based learning, and modern educational technologies within the academic framework.
Adhere strictly to healthcare compliance regulations, infection control protocols, and patient monitoring systems operation to promote the highest safety standards.
Perform additional academic and administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department to ensure smooth departmental operations.
