Duties & Responsibilities:

Program Coordination:

Plan, organize, and coordinate equine therapy sessions and programs under established protocols and schedules.

Client Management:

Facilitate client intake processes, including assessments, documentation, and goal-setting sessions.

Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout their therapy journey, addressing

any concerns or challenges that may arise.

Facility Management:

Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the equine therapy center facilities, including barns, arenas, and outdoor spaces.

Manage equipment and supplies inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels for therapy sessions and operations.

Volunteer Coordination:

Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to assist with therapy sessions, animal care, and facility maintenance tasks.

Community Engagement:

Represent the Equine Therapy Center at community events, workshops, and outreach activities to raise awareness and promote services.

Cultivate relationships with local organizations, schools, and healthcare providers to expand

outreach and referral networks.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including session notes, progress reports, and treatment plans.

Prepare regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and client progress for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, animal science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience working in equine-assisted therapy or a similar therapeutic setting.
  • Knowledge of equine behavior, care, and handling techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse clients, volunteers, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient demeanor with a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic record-keeping systems.
