Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and enhance patient safety.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits of quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Lead root cause analyses for incidents and near misses, identifying trends and systemic issues to improve patient safety protocols.
  • Coordinate the training and development of team members to ensure they are knowledgeable about quality improvement methodologies and patient safety standards.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, and develop strategies to address any deficiencies or areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary meetings and discussions to promote collaboration and gather insights on quality and safety issues across departments.
  • Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to set quality and safety objectives, and report on progress towards those objectives regularly.
  • Engage stakeholders, including patients and family members, in quality improvement efforts to promote transparency and accountability.
  • Develop and implement effective change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new quality and patient safety initiatives.
