The Registration Assistant plays a crucial role in managing the registration process of Afghan refugees and non-Afghan asylum seekers. Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader, the incumbent conducts detailed registration interviews to collect and verify applicant data, maintaining strict confidentiality throughout the process. This role includes preparing individual files for all family members and handling various documents to ensure accurate and complete records. The Registration Assistant is also responsible for issuing initial protection slips and processing protection letters in compliance with donor mandates.
In addition to registration duties, the Registration Assistant identifies vulnerable cases requiring additional assistance and facilitates referrals for further assessment or legal aid as needed. Providing counseling and advice to applicants about their refugee rights forms an essential part of the job. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication, and organizational skills, all executed with professionalism and discretion. The role does not include team management responsibilities.
