Experienced with major brands including Bitzer, York, Carrier, and Copeland, this role demands strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously without direct supervision. Although this position does not involve managing a team, collaboration with the motor repair team is essential for tasks such as dismantling and reassembling electric motors. The role requires meticulous documentation through detailed inspection and completion reports, which are presented to the maintenance supervisor. The Compressor Overhaul Mechanic plays a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of HVAC compressor systems, contributing directly to Al-Khobar Electric’s commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The position emphasizes hands-on mechanical expertise and adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the overhaul and testing process.

Responsibilities

· Perform thorough dismantling and full mechanical and electrical inspections of piston-type and screw-type HVAC compressors to identify defects or wear.

· Conduct comprehensive mechanical overhauls independently, ensuring all repairs meet high-quality standards without assistance.

· Carry out complete testing procedures on compressors post-repair to verify proper functionality and performance metrics.

· Prepare detailed inspection and completion reports documenting the condition of compressors, repairs made, and test results.

· Present completion reports clearly and professionally to the maintenance supervisor for review and record-keeping.

· Assist the motor repair team by dismantling and reassembling electric motors as needed, supporting their repair activities.

· Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and company policies during all mechanical overhaul and testing operations.

· Utilize expertise with compressor brands such as Bitzer, York, Carrier, and Copeland to perform effective and efficient maintenance.

· Apply specialized knowledge of screw and piston-type compressors to diagnose issues and implement appropriate repair strategies.

· Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and comply with environmental and operational regulations.
