The BIM Modeller - Electrical at Recruit AI plays a vital role in developing, coordinating, and maintaining highly accurate Building Information Modeling (BIM) models specifically for substation and electrical infrastructure projects. This role requires producing Level of Development (LOD) compliant electrical BIM models covering high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage systems including substations, transformers, switchgear, and grounding systems. The modeller extracts ISO 19650 standard-compliant drawings and documentation according to project requirements and BIM Execution Plans (BEP). Collaborating closely with the BIM Manager, engineers, and site teams, the role ensures model constructability, interdisciplinary coordination, and compliance with local utility standards and international codes such as IEC, IEEE, and NFPA. The position supports the full project lifecycle from design, coordination, through construction by providing updated models and construction deliverables.
This role demands a strong technical foundation in substation electrical systems, expertise in BIM and CAD software applications like Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, and familiarity with local utility standards including DEWA, SEWA, TAQA, TRANSCO, and ADDC/ADWEA. The incumbent drives the adherence to BIM standards and modeling protocols while supporting innovation in BIM workflows such as clash detection, automation, and interoperability. With over 5 years of BIM experience and at least one year of on-site coordination, the modeller contributes to enhancing modeling efficiency and quality assurance within the BIM & CAD Cell of Recruit AI, without managing a team but collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
