Based in Hyderabad, this Manager role within EY’s Consulting Regulatory Compliance Center of Excellence (COE) offers a unique opportunity to contribute to regulatory compliance engagements. You will be involved in framework implementation, compliance monitoring, and internal audit reviews while supporting the development and operationalization of the COE. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement regulatory compliance monitoring frameworks customized to client size, industry, and geography. This involves structuring compliance organizations, control frameworks, policies, procedures, employee training, and communication programs.
- Track regulatory changes by monitoring new regulations and amendments across various industries. Develop and maintain regulatory compliance libraries and databases categorized by industry, geography, and applicability.
- Lead client delivery for regulatory change management by analyzing the impact of regulatory updates and guiding teams in developing controls to ensure compliance.
- Conduct regulatory risk assessments and audits, including internal audits, compliance reviews, and control testing to evaluate the effectiveness of clients’ regulatory adherence and control frameworks.
- Mentor and lead staff and senior team members within the compliance COE, fostering expertise in compliance, audit, research, and analytics.
- Support client engagements such as compliance assessments, implementation programs, and remediation initiatives.
- Develop thought leadership and market insights on regulatory compliance trends, automation, and best practices.
- Drive innovation by leveraging AI and digital tools for compliance monitoring, obligation tracking, and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Management, Economics, Finance, MBA, or Law (LLB).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in research, management consulting, or risk management.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in internal audit, compliance reviews, or regulatory analysis.
- Proven expertise in internal controls, risk management, and compliance reviews.
- Knowledge of industry-specific compliance requirements.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience leading and managing a team of researchers.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas, engage clients, and collaborate effectively within global teams.
- Experience documenting regulatory requirements and control mapping.
- Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis; familiarity with databases such as OneSource, Thomson Reuters, or Lexis Nexis is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Professional certifications such as CCEP, CFE, CIPP, CA, CS, CIA, or CISA are advantageous.
- Degree in Business or Accounting or experience in risk/internal audit teams of Big 4 firms is a plus.
