The Fashion Designer Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the design team, ensuring the creation of high-quality fashion products that align with the brand's vision and market trends. This role involves managing the design process from concept to final product, mentoring team members, and collaborating with other departments to meet project deadlines and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of fashion designers.
    • Assign tasks and projects to team members based on their skills and experience.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, provide feedback, and address any challenges.
  2. Design Process Management:

    • Oversee the entire design process from concept to final product.
    • Ensure designs align with the brand’s aesthetic and market trends.
    • Review and approve designs, sketches, and technical specifications.
  3. Trend Analysis and Research:

    • Stay updated on fashion trends, market demands, and consumer preferences.
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform design decisions.
    • Attend fashion shows, exhibitions, and events to gather inspiration and insights.
  4. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other departments, including marketing, production, and sales, to ensure cohesive product development.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and oversee production quality.
  5. Quality Control:

    • Ensure all designs meet the company's quality standards and specifications.
    • Review prototypes and samples, making necessary adjustments to achieve the desired outcome.
  6. Budget and Timeline Management:

    • Develop and manage design budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
    • Create project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
  7. Professional Development:

    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
    • Provide opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and stay current with industry developments.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fashion design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Skills:

  • Strong creative and artistic abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficient in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
