Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Developing and implementing HSSE strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Conducting regular HSSE audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks and implementing corrective actions.
- Providing HSSE training and awareness programs to all employees and contractors.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and clients to ensure compliance with HSSE requirements.
- Leading investigations into incidents and accidents and developing recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
- Conducting risk assessments and ensuring that all control measures are in place to minimize risks to people, assets, and the environment.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A degree in Health, Safety, Security, and Environment or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the energy industry.
- Strong knowledge of relevant HSSE regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
