Project Summary:
Under the project, with support from UNICEF, Qatar Charity (QC) will be aiming to strengthen the prevention, early detection and management of child wasting in 12 districts of Punjab by strengthening the capacity of the local health systems, enhancing the early detection and referral and management of children with wasting, as well as improving the monitoring, quality and programme learning. Specifically based on Social Behavior Change approach, the project will enhance the access to nutrition and support UNICEF and Government of Punjab (IRMNCH and Department of Health) in prevention, promotion, and management of wasting programs at community level in targeted 12 target districts of Punjab. A strong understanding of Punjab’s health system, nutrition (wasting and its prevention etc.), project management and social behavior change approaches would be required to lead this project.
1. Job Summary:
The Project Manager (PM) position will be based in the project office in Lahore. Extensive inter-district travel is envisaged for this position to the Facilitation Centres under BNP (BISP Nashonuma Program) in 12 targeted districts within Punjab and to the Country Office in Islamabad. The PM would be expected to manage overall project implementation, team management, and maintain very close coordination with QC country office (program and operational departments) relevant health officials at provincial level and provincial office of UNICEF. The position is required to provide strong leadership and administrative management support to ensure that all project activities are well-coordinated and contribute to the implementation of the project, mainly focusing on the Facilitation Centres of BNP (BISP Nashonuma Program). The targeted districts under the project are: Attock, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Kasur, Lahore, Multan, Nankana, Okara, Pakpattan, Rajanpur, Rawalpindi, Sheikhupura.

3. Job Requirements:
a. Education
Master’s degree in public health / nutrition or other any relevant discipline (Medicine, Nutrition, Public Health only).
b. Relevant experience
5-6 years’ experience in the same capacity in INGOs or a donor agency.
Proven technical knowledge and capacity to lead implementation of H&N activities, projects, and programs.
Experience leading project implementation in a complex setting involving multiple stakeholders.
c. Computer knowledge
MS Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint), Outlook
4. Skills and Personality:
a. Communication skills
Proven capacity to negotiate and work with governments at different levels.
b. Technical skills
Budget tracking and reporting, HR management (with a particular focus on Staff performance management) and reporting.
