The Projects Coordinator will be responsible for the effective planning, coordination, implementation, and supervision of multi-sectoral projects, including health, education, WASH, and climate resilience interventions, supported by Qatar Charity and other donor-funded programmes. S/he will work closely with the country office programme team, field teams, government counterparts, partners, and relevant stakeholders to ensure that sectoral activities are delivered in line with organizational strategies, donor requirements, technical standards, and community needs. The position requires strong leadership, team management, administrative oversight, and coordination capacity to ensure that all programme interventions are strategic, efficient, inclusive, accountable, and achieve the intended objectives and results.

The position may be based at any assigned field office/project location within KPKwith frequent travel to project districts, disaster-prone areas, emergency response locations, and government coordination forums.

This recruitment aims to establish an Emergency/Humanitarian Response Roster. Candidates who meet the eligibility and position requirements will be considered for inclusion in roster for future opportunities, subject to organizational needs and funding availability. Inclusion in the roster does not guarantee employment.

Responsibilities

Technical
1. Develop and support the implementation of integrated multi-sectoral project plans covering health, education, WASH, climate resilience, and other priority programme areas in line with Qatar Charitys country strategy.
2. Coordinate programme activities to ensure timely, quality, and accountable delivery of sector-specific interventions in accordance with approved workplans, technical standards, donor requirements, and community priorities.
3. Supervise the implementation of QC-funded and donor-funded projects, ensuring that activities across health, education, WASH, climate resilience, and related sectors are delivered efficiently and effectively.
4. Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and resource utilization to ensure cost-effective implementation, compliance with approved budgets, and achievement of planned programme outputs.
5. Regularly review detailed implementation plans, progress tracking tools, and field updates to identify operational challenges, address bottlenecks, and support timely corrective actions.
6. Ensure the timely preparation and submission of quality programmatic, financial, and donor reports in coordination with technical, finance, MEAL, and support teams.
7. Maintain effective coordination and working relationships with government departments, line agencies, district authorities, community representatives, civil society organizations, UN agencies, donors, and other relevant stakeholders.
8. Coordinate procurement, vendor, consultant, and partner contract management processes to ensure timely delivery of goods and services in line with organizational policies, donor compliance requirements, and approved project plans.
9. Support partnership development and coordination with government institutions, donors, UN agencies, private sector organizations, and civil society partners to strengthen programme outreach, complementarity, and sustainability.
10. Promote internal and external coordination to ensure that multi-sectoral interventions are aligned with Qatar Charitys vision, mission, core values, strategic priorities, and humanitarian principles.
11. Ensure that project implementation is informed by relevant humanitarian and development standards, including SPHERE, Core Humanitarian Standard, safeguarding principles, accountability to affected populations, and sector-specific technical guidance.
12. Build and maintain positive working relationships with project teams, field staff, country office departments, partners, and other Qatar Charity colleagues to support smooth programme delivery.
13. Ensure full adherence to organizational policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest Policy, Child Protection Policy, PSEA, safeguarding, procurement, finance, and other applicable SOPs.
14. Perform any other programme-related duties assigned by the supervisor to support effective implementation of multi-sectoral projects.

Management
1. Ensure that quality, accountability, and quantitative targets are consistently met during the implementation of multi-sectoral project activities in the field.
2. Lead effective coordination between programme staff, field teams, support departments, and technical sector leads to ensure smooth and integrated project delivery.
3. Provide technical guidance, supervision, and capacity-building support to project staff to strengthen performance across health, education, WASH, climate resilience, and related sectors.
4. Coordinate vendor, consultant, and partner contract management processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, approved budgets, and project implementation timelines.
5. Support recruitment, onboarding, task allocation, and performance follow-up of project staff in coordination with HR and line management, in line with approved policies and procedures.
6. Coordinate with the media and communications team to ensure appropriate visibility, documentation, case stories, and quality communication materials for project activities in accordance with Qatar Charity policies and donor visibility guidelines.
7. Ensure that field operations are implemented with appropriate attention to staff safety, duty of care, access constraints, and operational risks in coordination with relevant management and security focal points.
8. Collect, update, and share relevant field-level operational, access, and security information with the supervisor and concerned departments to support informed decision-making and risk mitigation.

Compliance and feedback
1. Ensure full familiarity with and adherence to Qatar Charitys organizational policies, donor compliance requirements, safeguarding standards, financial procedures, procurement guidelines, and applicable programme SOPs.
2. Ensure that feedback, concerns, and complaints from staff, communities, partners, and other stakeholders are received, documented, referred, and addressed through appropriate accountability and response mechanisms.
3. Support timely and well-informed decision-making in accordance with organizational policies, donor requirements, management guidance, humanitarian principles, and the best interests of affected communities.
Team Management and performance
1. Demonstrate strong managerial and coordination skills to effectively lead multi-sectoral project teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic programme environment.
2. Maintain the ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing deadlines, and support timely decision-making during field implementation and emergency or development responses.
3. Provide leadership, supervision, and performance support to project staff working in complex, challenging, or remote field settings, ensuring teamwork, accountability, and results-oriented delivery.
Reporting
1. Prepare and submit high-quality periodic, monthly, quarterly, annual, donor, and project completion reports, ensuring accuracy of data, consistency with approved indicators, documentation of achievements and challenges, and timely submission in coordination with programme, MEAL, finance, and field teams.

Job Requirements

  • Masters degree/University degree in any of the relevant fields - management, business management, rural development, development studies or social sciences.
  • Preferred certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP), Project Cycle Management (PCM), SPHERE standards, Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS), safeguarding/PSEA, humanitarian response or disaster risk management, WASH in emergencies, climate resilience/adaptation, and donor compliance or grants management certification.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of work experience in the relevant field area in the development sector
