Qatar Charity is a Doha-Qatar based International Non-Governmental Organization. Since the inception of QC services in Pakistan early 1992, the organization reflect its greater scope of work to respond to extreme poverty and the Government’s priorities. QC through its field offices enabled itself to strategically address the developmental and humanitarian needs at the very local level. QC is undertaking programmes associated with the socio-economic development of the Country. The projects are categorized under six programme pillars: Youth Leadership & Social Protection, Education, Provision of WASH, Health (with a focus on MNCH), Economic Empowerment & Sustainable Livelihood (EESL) and Disaster Response & Preparedness (DRP), along with its Seasonal Programs like Ramadhan, Qurbani programs etc. In Pakistan, Qatar Charity is having its country office in Islamabad and field offices in KPK, Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, and AJK.

Job Summary:  

The position holder is responsible for developing and implementing capacity-building strategies aligned with project needs, facilitating training sessions, and ensuring effective knowledge dissemination on key areas such as food security, disaster risk reduction, and climate change. The role also involves supporting monitoring, reporting, and documentation efforts to drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with the program's overarching goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement capacity-building plans and strategies tailored to project needs, targeting the most vulnerable communities.
  •  Facilitate and deliver training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job coaching to improve knowledge and skills related to food security, disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate change, kitchen gardening, livestock, and related thematic areas.
  • Identify learning needs and gaps in the team and design relevant capacity-building interventions.
  • Develop training materials and manuals that are contextualized for the local setting.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of capacity-building efforts, adjusting approaches as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Lead the preparation of high-quality, accurate, and timely reports, including narrative activity wise and cycle wise.
  • Collect and compile project data from field teams, ensuring the data is accurate and consistent with reporting requirements.
  • Support the documentation of best practices, lessons learned, case studies, and success stories.
  • Ensure that capacity-building activities are well-integrated into the program's overall M&E framework.
  • Participate in field monitoring visits to assess the quality and impact of training interventions and project activities.
  • Provide input into the design and development of new program proposals, especially concerning capacity-building and reporting components.
  • Ensure clear communication and information sharing between field teams, project management, and external partners.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, livestock and Development Studies.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in capacity building, training, and program reporting, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
  • Familiarity with UN Agencies specially WFP & FAO programs and reporting standards is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with experience in drafting donor reports.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing capacity-building initiatives, particularly in rural settings.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work in challenging environments and adapt to diverse cultural context.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in data collection and reporting tools.
  • Good knowledge of livelihoods projects and practices.
  • Fluency in English and local languages (Urdu /English and Sindhi desirable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel to remote project areas of both districts.

Duration & Contract Terms

·        Contract Duration: September to December 2024 with the possibility of extension based on performance and project funds.
