QA Tester

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in both manual and automation testing, with practical expertise in testing mobile applications (iOS and Android), web applications, and websites. This role involves executing test strategies, contributing to QA projects, and continuously improving testing processes to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute comprehensive test plans and cases across multiple platforms, including mobile apps, web applications, and websites.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance test suites and automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
- Perform detailed functional, regression, integration, and cross-browser/device testing to identify defects.
- Create and run automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium and Appium, working closely with senior QA engineers.
- Assist with performance, security, usability, and compatibility testing as required.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and senior QA team members to understand requirements and ensure product quality.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Identify, document, and track software defects clearly using defect tracking tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Verify fixes by working with the development team and conduct thorough regression testing.
- Follow QA best practices and contribute ideas for process improvements to enhance testing effectiveness.
- Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to support continuous regression testing.
- Utilize modern testing tools for automation, API testing, and defect tracking, including Selenium, Postman, and JIRA.
- Stay current with emerging QA trends, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve testing quality.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a balanced focus on both manual and automation testing.
- Hands-on experience testing mobile applications (iOS and Android) and web applications/websites.
- Practical knowledge of developing and executing automated tests using frameworks like Selenium and Appium.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman or equivalent.
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Exposure to CI/CD concepts and version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter is advantageous.
- ISTQB Foundation Level or similar certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- This is a full-time, onsite position based in Bahria Town Phase 4, Rawalpindi.
- Competitive salary starting from Rs 80,000 per month.
