The Program Manager will oversee planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities while fostering strong collaboration with the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), Provincial and District Health Departments, development partners, and other key stakeholders. The position will focus on increasing immunization coverage, with particular emphasis on identifying and reaching zero-dose and under-immunized children, strengthening community engagement and demand generation, enhancing health system capacity, and improving service quality through supportive supervision and evidence-based decision-making.


Responsibilities

1. Project Management & Coordination

·        -Oversee the day-to-day implementation of the project across four districts in KP.

·        Lead, supervise, and mentor a diverse team of health professionals, EPI vaccinators, community mobilizers, and support staff.

·        Ensure alignment of project activities with the overall project objectives, timelines, and budget.

·        Regularly coordinate with District health authorities, local stakeholders, and partners (WHO, UNICEF, etc.) to ensure project coherence.

·        -Develop detailed work plans, monitor progress, and troubleshoot issues as they arise to maintain momentum.

2. Community Engagement & Demand Generation

·        Lead community engagement strategies to enhance acceptance and demand for immunization, maternal health, and family planning services.

·        Collaborate with local community leaders, religious leaders, and other influencers to build trust and encourage participation in health programs.

·        Ensure the project’s outreach activities (mobile clinics, school-based programs, community health sessions) are well-coordinated and impactful.

·        Foster strong relationships with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) for effective community mobilization.

 

3. Monitoring, Reporting, & Evaluation

·        Oversee the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes, ensuring data is accurately captured, analyzed, and reported to assess project outcomes and impact.

·        Ensure regular reporting on project progress, challenges, and achievements to the Project Director and donors.

·        Conduct periodic assessments and ensure continuous improvement based on feedback and lessons learned.

·        Ensure that project activities comply with monitoring frameworks, donor requirements, and WHO guidelines.

4. Budget Management & Resource Allocation

·        Manage project resources effectively, including staff, materials, and budget.

·        Oversee the preparation and implementation of budgets for all activities in the assigned districts, ensuring financial efficiency and accountability.

·        Ensure timely procurement and supply chain management to support the project’s PHC services and outreach activities

5.Team Leadership & Capacity Building

·        Lead and motivate project teams across the four districts, ensuring high performance and collaboration.

·        Conduct regular training and capacity-building sessions for team members, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver quality PHC services.

·        Foster a culture of teamwork, transparency, and accountability within the team.

6. Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy

  • Represent the project in meetings with government authorities, donors, and partner organizations, advocating for the project’s goals and securing support.
  • Liaise with local government health officials to align project activities with local health priorities.
  • Coordinate with other health programs and projects to ensure synergy and avoid duplication of efforts.
