Engineering Lead

Prkyne is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of innovative software solutions. In this key leadership role, you will oversee all facets of the product development lifecycle, from system architecture design to production deployment, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions. You will lead a team of five engineers, fostering collaboration and technical excellence while navigating the challenges of rapidly evolving product requirements. The ideal candidate has at least six years of industry experience, with over five years of full-stack development and true product ownership. You bring strong expertise in integrating large language model APIs into real-world products and thrive in ambiguous environments where multiple product directions are explored. Your technical leadership and project management skills enable you to align the teams efforts with company goals, deliver impactful results, and adapt strategies as business needs evolve.
Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of five engineers, promoting professional growth and technical best practices.
Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle including requirement analysis, system architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment.
Integrate large language model APIs into products, ensuring seamless and scalable implementation.
Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate ambiguous product directions into actionable engineering plans.
Drive technical decision-making and system architecture design to support current and future product requirements.
Ensure code quality, security, and performance through code reviews, automated tests, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
Manage project timelines, resources, and risks to deliver high-impact features on schedule.
Cultivate a culture of innovation that encourages exploration of multiple product directions and hypotheses.
Identify technical debt and areas for improvement to enhance system reliability and maintainability.
Communicate engineering progress, challenges, and risks clearly to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously enhance the teams capabilities.
