Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Operate stacker and reclaimer machines to stack and reclaim coal according to production requirements and storage plans.
- Monitor and control the stacking and reclaiming process to prevent overflows, spillage, and equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with shift supervisors and control room operators to receive instructions and ensure timely and accurate coal handling.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address any mechanical issues or potential breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement minor repairs to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around the stacker and reclaimer machines, including removal of debris and spillage.
- Comply with safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe work environment for oneself and colleagues.
- Inspection record and report production data, equipment status, and any incidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow standard operating procedures for start-up, shutdown, and emergencies.
- Ensure housekeeping of the assigned areas
- Assist in training new operators and guide to ensure proper machine operation and safety practices.
Qualifications:
- Diploma holders,
- B Tech (Mechanical, Electrical)
- 4-5 years experience of proven experience as a Stacker and Reclaimer Operator or in a similar material handling role.
- Strong understanding of Stacking & Reclaiming operations, control systems, and safety protocols
