We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Supply Chain Officer based in Karachi. This pivotal role will primarily focus on supporting custom clearing operations, ensuring meticulous documentation, assisting clearing agents, and conducting quality assurance visits for imported goods
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage all necessary documentation required for the customs clearance process.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in the import process.
- Collaborate closely with clearing agents to facilitate the seamless and efficient clearance of goods.
- Provide assistance and information as needed to expedite the customs clearance process.
- Conduct on-site visits to inspect imported goods, with a specific focus on fertilizers.
- Ensure that the quality of imported goods meets established standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address any quality-related issues promptly.
- Coordinate with logistics partners to optimize the supply chain process.
- Monitor and track shipments, addressing any delays or issues that may arise.
- Stay informed about changes in import/export regulations and compliance requirements.
- Implement best practices to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
- Proven experience in a supply chain or customs-related role.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and documentation procedures in Pakistan.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct on-site quality assurance visits.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
