Premium Engineering Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimation/Contract Manager with at least 10 years of industry experience to lead our estimation and contract management operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in project management and procurement management, capable of preparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and comprehensive quantity take-offs. This role requires thorough analysis of drawings, specifications, and project scopes to develop accurate tender documents and pricing proposals, while effectively coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations. The candidate is also expected to conduct detailed cost analysis and value engineering to support optimal project profitability.
In addition to estimation duties, this role involves direct oversight of contract management processes. This includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and subcontracts, ensuring full compliance with contract terms and conditions, and managing variation orders, claims, and changes. The Estimation/Contract Manager will monitor and mitigate contractual risks, handle all contractual client correspondence, and prepare interim payment certificates and final accounts. The successful candidate will manage a dedicated team of three persons, providing leadership and guidance to ensure timely and effective project delivery in line with industry standards such as FIDIC.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and quantity take-offs based on project drawings and specifications.
- Analyze project scope and technical documents to develop accurate and competitive tender documents and pricing proposals.
- Coordinate closely with suppliers and subcontractors to request and evaluate quotations to ensure best value procurements.
- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis and value engineering exercises to optimize project budgets and schedules.
- Review and evaluate all tender documentation thoroughly to ensure compliance with client requirements before submission.
- Maintain an updated and detailed cost database and perform rate analysis to support the estimation process.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and subcontracts ensuring alignment with company policies and industry standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with all contract terms, conditions, and legal standards including FIDIC guidelines.
- Manage and document variation orders, contract claims, and change management processes proactively.
- Identify and assess contractual risks continuously and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to minimize exposure.
- Maintain professional client communication regarding contractual matters, resolving inquiries and issues promptly.
- Prepare interim payment certifications and finalize accounts in accordance with contract milestones and completion.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of three personnel, coordinating workload, providing performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Collaborate with project management and procurement teams to align contract and estimation functions with overall project goals.
- Keep abreast of market trends, cost fluctuations, and regulatory changes impacting contract and estimation practices.
