Premium Engineering Pvt Ltd is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their site-based team in Gujranwala. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in financial reporting and financial statement preparation. This role requires managing daily accounting activities specific to the construction sector, maintaining accurate financial records, and overseeing expenses to ensure smooth financial operations. The Accountant will lead a team of 20 professionals, fostering collaboration and ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures to support site operations effectively.
This position demands a motivated individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of coordinating with the head office and other departments. The candidate should hold a B.Com, BBA, or MBA degree in Accounts or Finance and have a proven track record of working in a site-based role within the construction industry. Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily site accounting activities to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports and records in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the handling of expenses, invoices, and petty cash to maintain proper financial control.
- Develop and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Coordinate financial matters with the head office to ensure consistency and accuracy in accounting practices.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Lead and manage a team of 20 accounting personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls related to construction site accounting.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support project financial planning and management.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and procedures suitable for site-based operations.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders to support financial decision-making.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain smooth cash flow.
- Review and approve financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support audits by preparing required documentation and facilitating the audit process.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial information and uphold ethical accounting practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and contribute to operational efficiency.
