We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Web Merchandiser with a strong background in UI/UX design to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing our B2B and B2C websites’ user experience, implementing current design trends, and optimizing product presentation to boost engagement and drive sales. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and e-commerce best practices, particularly within the UK market.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Merchandising:

  • Curate and manage product listings, ensuring they are presented attractively and aligned with current market trends.
  • Develop and execute promotional strategies to highlight key products, seasonal items, and special offers.
  • Ensure all our products are on the website in the main category and are searchable using many different terms.
  • Utilize A/B testing and other optimization techniques to refine product displays and content for maximum engagement and conversion.

UI/UX Design & Optimization:

  • Conduct user research and gather insights to create a seamless and intuitive shopping experience on both B2B and B2C websites.
  • Develop and implement wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to improve website usability and visual appeal.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure that design concepts are effectively translated into functional, responsive websites.
  • Monitor and analyze user behavior metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.

Market Trends & Consumer Insights:

  • Stay updated on UK market trends and consumer preferences to inform merchandising strategies and website content.
  • Analyze competitor websites and industry trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to adapt product presentation and marketing efforts based on consumer behavior insights.

Content Management & Product Presentation:

  • Collaborate with Product Info Coordinators to ensure accurate and appealing product descriptions, images, dimensions, and pricing are displayed.
  • Manage the visual merchandising of the website, including banners, featured products, and category displays.
  • Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all website elements.

Sales & Performance Analytics:

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to website traffic, conversion rates, and sales performance.
  • Generate reports and insights to guide decision-making and refine merchandising strategies.
  • Implement strategies to enhance cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to align website merchandising with broader marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Coordinate with the technical team to troubleshoot and resolve any website issues affecting user experience or product visibility.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on best practices for website merchandising and UI/UX.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Web Development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in web merchandising, UI/UX design, or a similar role.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design skills and successful merchandising strategies.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce) and content management systems (CMS).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong understanding of UK market trends and consumer behavior.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and how they relate to UI/UX and web merchandising.
  • Experience with A/B testing tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar).
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus.
